SUPPLYING SPACE DREAMS: FABRIK LUST’S ROLE IN ISRO’S YUVIKA 2025 PROGRAMME
Share
What is YUVIKA?
“YUVIKA”—short for Yuva Vigyani Karyakram or Young Scientist Programme—is ISRO’s flagship two-week, fully-residential camp that “catches them young” by immersing Class-IX students in rocket science, satellite systems and remote-sensing labs. The 2025 edition ran 19 – 30 May 2025, with students reporting on 18 May and departing on 31 May. More than 350 learners from every State and UT rotated through lectures, clean-room walk-throughs and hands-on workshops.
Seven Host Centres, One United Mission
• Antariksha Bhavan – ISRO HQ, Bengaluru, Karnataka
• Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun, Uttarakhand
• North-Eastern Space Applications Centre, Shillong, Meghalaya
• Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad, Gujarat
• National Remote Sensing Centre, Hyderabad, Telangana
• Satish Dhawan Space Centre-SHAR, Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh
• Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala
Our Brief: Dress the Future of Indian Space
For YUVIKA 2025, Fabrik Lust LLP was entrusted to create the official participant merchandise kit. We supplied:
• 1,000 Custom-Printed T-shirts
• 500 Fleece Jackets
• 500 Caps
Every piece carried a centre-specific YUVIKA crest with the ISRO logo rendered in a mix of precision embroidery and screen-print, sized XS through 2XL so every young scientist—and every volunteer—felt included.
Design & Logistics Highlights
– Climate-smart fabrics: lightweight 180 GSM cotton for hill stations, moisture-wicking poly-cotton for coastal humidity
– Colour-coding: seven accent shades let staff instantly identify participants’ host centres during joint virtual sessions
– Four-phase dispatch: 2,800 garments left our Bettiah hub in staggered lots to beat early-May cyclone disruptions on the east coast
– Triple-checkpoint QC: print alignment, thread strength and GSM verification kept defects below 0.5 %
“We felt truly privileged to serve one of India’s most prestigious institutions. Watching 350 bright minds tour launchpads in coordinated Fabrik Lust gear was our proudest moment this year.”
— Aabhash Goenka & Kriti Goenka, Co-Founders, Fabrik Lust LLP
Why It Matters
Uniforms do more than cover; they create belonging. The sight of aspiring space scientists proudly wearing matching YUVIKA threads underscored ISRO’s vision and reminded us that the next PSLV commander might already be in that crowd.
